Le Trec - Training

Becky @ Oakwood - Dates to follow

Le Trec - Le Trec - Just a bit about le trec, it is an equestrian sport for every one you do not need an all singing all dancing horse/pony to have a go.
There are three phase's

1 -   POR PHASE (orienteering) they also do a versatile le trec where this phase is replaced by a dressage/obedience test
2 - COP PHASE (control of paces)
3 - PTV PHASE (obstacle course) usually a course of 16 obstacles some would be led
it is great for young horses and for building confidence between horse and rider.
PTV marked on a points system 10 points for each obstacle can be gained some on style some on gait though a obstacle.(if there is an obstacle you do not want to, it does matter you just do not get those 10 points for that obstacle)
POR you start with 240 points and then you have points deducted if you miss a check point, incorrect map reading and error of pace
COP showing that a rider is capable of influencing their horse's paces by making their horse go slowly at canter and quickly at walk within a marked path, the slower the canter the more points gained the faster the walk the more points gained, no points if you break pace there are 60 points up for grabs
It is great fun, please come along and have a go.
Becky

£15.00 per person / Approx. 1 1/2 - 2 hours sessions / open to all
